WORK
EXPERIENCE
|
1962
- 1964
|
Worked
at Westinghouse Electric Corporation designing hardware and writing computer
programs for automatic power dispatching equipment. |
| |
|
|
1964
- 1970
|
Joined
U. S. Steel. Developed computer simulation of plant processes and computer
programs for data logging and process control. Programmed in both Fortran
and assembly languages. |
| |
|
|
1970
- 1983
|
Developed
in-house capability for conducting electrical power system analyses for
U. S. Steel's 14 plants. Power system analyses included short-circuit,
load-flow, voltage regulation, motor starting, harmonic, protective device
coordination, power factor correction, arc furnace flicker, system reliability,
and electrical energy management. In addition, responsible for trouble-shooting
protective device malfunctions in the field, designing protective relay
systems, and planning and estimating power systems for new facilities.
Taught seminars to 100 engineers in power system analysis, design of protective
device system, and protective device coordination. |

C-M-B Engineering Services ("CMB") as Principal Engineer. C-M-B is a consulting
firm specializing in performing power system studies such as short-circuit,
protective device coordination, load flow, voltage regulation, power factor,
harmonic. These studies are used for planning and design of new/upgraded
facilities, to solve problems in the field, and to improve and maintain
existing power systems. |
